Johnny G & The E Types are honoured to present THE WOMEN OF SOUL REVUE An Evening of Respect: celebrating the soul classics of “The Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin. Book now for Thursday September 2 at the Ritz Cinema, Randwick. This concert be followed by a screening of the “Summer Of Soul” the 2021 film documentary directed by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson about the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival.
Aretha Franklin is both a 20th and 21st century musical and cultural icon known the world over simply by her first name: Aretha. She is the reigning and undisputed “Queen of Soul”.
Two of Sydney’s finest female soul vocalists, “Soul Sista # 1” Julz Di Sisto and the sensational Sarina Jennings will showcase Aretha’s soul classics including Respect, You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman, Chain Of Fools, Rock Steady, Say A Little Prayer, Son Of A Preacher Man, Baby I Love You, Do Right Man Do Right Woman, I Ain’t Never Loved A Man and mo’.
This is the Women Of Soul Revue featured on the ABC’s Sonic Journey.
